Message from our BV Board President:
Dear BV families,

The health and safety of all of you is our top priority. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic all BV softball activities will be suspended until at least 4/6/20. This was a difficult decision to make but city, county and state leaders have been clear. We need to do what we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. The City of Chula Vista has ordered that all city field use by youth sports leagues is suspended until 4/6. That being said, any practices at non-city locations such as schools and private residences are strictly prohibited as well. In regards to Softball Day at Petco park, we have discussed this with the Padres office staff. They have assured us that the game will either be rescheduled or  we will be refunded. They will not hold us financially accountable for an event that doesn’t take place. I ask that you be patient at this time and understand that we are all trying to do our best to work through this. Take care of your families and I wish you the best of health. Hopefully we can resume softball next month.

Sean Carey
President BVGASA

Message from BV Executive Board:
What is BV doing in light of COVID-19?
The Executive Board has been actively discussing an action plan. We are having active discussions with the City of Chula Vista and USA Softball. We will have more information to share with you as soon as possible. With the inclement weather in the forecast today and in the next few days, there are no games or practices due to fields being closed from March 13-15th. Please follow us on Facebook or check our website for the latest information.

Message from the City of Chula Vista:
Field closure from March 14 – April 5, 2020.  No practices or games during this time period.
The health and well-being of Chula Vista residents during the COVID-19 outbreak remains our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution, and in accordance with State Guidelines issued regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the City of Chula Vista, including Chula Vista Parks & Recreation, and the Chula Vista Public Library will close all City Recreation Centers, the Norman Park Senior Center and Chula Vista Public Libraries effective March 14 – April 5. This closure includes library, cultural arts and recreation programming as well as youth and adult sports held at local parks/fields.
